Jackie’s in awe of Chennai
My track record talks for itself. I have acted in close to 170 feature films.
Of that, around 80 films have been superhits and featured me playing the solo hero. Just pull up the filmography of any ‘young’ actor from today’s filmy milieu and see how many hits he has delivered. And you will realize what I am speaking about.
My very first superhit Hero (1983), was released in a theater
here and I remember how warm the audiences were in their acceptance of a Hindi star. I can never forget the humility that I learned from the people of Chennai.
I am actually quite a softie from within. My roles require me to be a tough guy and appear menacing . But I’m just an ordinary, fun-loving , family man.
