Tyler Hilton + ‘Larry Crowne’ = EW exclusive!

Tom Hanks is a man of many talents. Not only does he play the title role in Larry Crowne (which opens today), but he also co-wrote and directed the flick as well. And while he didn’t sew all the costumes (as Jon Stewart suggested on The Daily Show), he did coproduce the soundtrack to the film. Buju Banton: 10 years for drug trafficking

Image Credit: Reuters/Steve Nesius/Landov After being found guilty in February for conspiring to deal cocaine, reggae superstar Buju Banton (né Mark Myrie), 38, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, Yahoo reports. The Jamaica native was given the lowest sentence possible for his crimes, conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, and using a telephone to facilitate a drug trafficking offense.

Google logo: Guitar strum for Les Paul

Google’s got a guitar and they’ve learned how to make it talk. In order to celebrate what would’ve been the 96th birthday of rock ‘n’ roll innovator Les Paul, the Google logo has been replaced this day by a doodle made up of guitar strings that can be strummed with your mouse. “The electric guitar brings back memories for me of exchanging riffs with friends and wearing out cassette tapes as I meticulously learned songs,” wrote Google designer Alexander Chen, in a blog post.

‘House’ boss: Cuddy exit unplanned

The character of Lisa Cuddy wasn’t expected to disappear after House’s seventh season. In fact, executive producer David Shore told EW that he was planning on Cuddy’s alter-ego, Lisa Edelstein, to be back for more after they shot the drama’s finale. Shore can’t even state if Edelstein will be back for an episode or two to properly finish her storyline. “We have to plan for her not coming back.

Pete Townshend: Memoir in fall 2012

Image Credit: Win McNamee/Getty Images HarperCollins has acquired the rights to Pete Townshend’s highly anticipated memoir Who He? The legendary guitarist and songwriter for the Who has been working on his autobiography since the mid-90′s, according to Rolling Stone, and it will finally hit shelves in Autumn 2012. The book will tell the story of his dramatic childhood, the inception of the iconic band, and the wild decades of touring and creating unforgettable music.

Ted Nugent for prez (on ‘The Simpsons’)

Steven Tyler speaks drug use on ‘Dateline’

The most interesting tidbit of the interview was Tyler’s admission that he was taking drugs as recently as 2009; he was high on stage  during his infamous spill, and a subsequent trip to rehab contributed to the fracturing of Aerosmith.

Morrissey not charmed by Royal Wedding

In an interview with BBC radio, Morrissey has declared that he will not be watching tomorrow’s Royal Wedding. He also criticized the royals for being “benefit scroungers.” “Why would I watch the wedding?” stated the ex-Smiths singer. “I couldn’t take any of that seriously at all. I don’t think the so-called Royal Family talk for England now and I don’t think England needs them.
